Religious edicts on women
In this verse (4:127) as well as in the verses that follow, the Almighty speaks of various laws governing women. Even before that he reminds us of a few laws that have already been revealed.
Here Allah reminds us of laws that were revealed through verses 4:2 to 4:9.
